Before-and-after satellite images show Thailand's Bang Pakong River drowning in monsoon floodwater

NASA Landsat imagery published October 9, 2026 shows fields and aquaculture ponds along the Bang Pakong River in Prachin Buri province underwater, as flooding that began in mid-September has touched 50 of Thailand's provinces and affected over 4 million people, according to the IFRC.
